Community Partnership
& Sustainable Development

Leda Mining Congo S.A. is committed to responsible development that creates lasting value for local communities. Through long-standing partnerships in Misisi, the company continues to invest in social infrastructure, education, and sustainable opportunity.

Building Trust, Opportunity
and Shared Prosperity

Since 2010, sustained engagement within the Misisi Township and collaboration with organised artisanal mining co-operatives have laid a strong foundation for responsible development across the project area. Multiple phases of exploration and drilling have been successfully completed through formal local agreements and ongoing cooperation with stakeholders supported by the Ministry of Mines.

These long-standing partnerships have enabled meaningful community investment, including the rehabilitation of six schools, construction of a new school, development of a community meeting hall, completion of the Etuhu River bridge, and the implementation of adult literacy programmes. Formal cooperation and profit-sharing frameworks with licensed artisanal mining associations operating within the project footprint further reinforce a transparent and inclusive development approach.

Leda Mining Congo S.A. is committed to continuing and expanding these community initiatives and partnerships—ensuring that responsible gold development delivers lasting social, economic, and infrastructure benefits for the people of Misisi and the surrounding region.
